Does disabling all buttons do any good? She pushes all buttons and that makes her so very frustrated. That is so hard on her and me as well, any suggestions?

This is an injured mind. So yes, you will eliminate all the buttons you are able in her general vicinity.

Is it possible to get a super simple TV remote? I know there are super simple cell phones for seniors now.
Though my dad had this problem when he had dementia and it just kept getting worse. To the point where it was way more than buttons. He would leave the microwave, fridge, doors to the house wide open. It’s hard!

Not sure which buttons you mean, but my 95-yr old Mom has the same problem: slowly forgetting how to use the tv remote, microwave and other appliances.

My Mom lives next to me in her own home and has her own tv. She all of a sudden started to deprogram the remote daily, partly because the programming button was a tiny black button right under the larger on-off button. She has neuropathy and arthritis in her fingers so wasn't realizing she was pushing it. I super glued it and problem solved.

As for the microwave or other appliances, if you live together I don't know what to suggest except to maybe keep those covered so she doesn't even see them.

Does she have a diagnosis of cognitive impairment? If not, I would get her in for an exam with her primary doctor.
