Changes coming for 2023 will affect your loved one needing caregiving. What have you noticed?

Another issue:
Online, ordered some ice cube trays for about $6.00. That's $12.00.

Okay, the shipping charges (coming from China) I did not know, were $28.00.
I would have never ordered them at that price. I just clicked "Place your order" after dH picked them out. The product was delayed. Then the product was cancelled by the seller, unable to ship them at all. Good, because I wanted to cancel them.

The mistakes are adding up. I ordered through Instacart from Costco Business instead of Costco Warehouse, locally. The Costco Business charged $28.00 to deliver my order, it added it on because it was farther away. Had I known in advance, I would not have ordered from them. (I have "free delivery").

I am being careful. Even the Farmer's Market charges $6.00 for a head of lettuce, and eggs are way too much, more than the markets, who are out of eggs. I usually am not a complainer about high prices, but this is way high for my budget.

Being careful has not helped. I guess that since I cannot go out to shop much, I will budget the extra grocery shopping under "Caregiving" and allow for the extra exorbitant expenses.

People are complaining online that the prices to obtain a smog permit has increased to just over $100. Plan ahead.

What else can we prepare for in 2023?

The post office clerk said that she read something about the bar-codes recently, but that she did not know anything about it.

Repeating, "I want to know if we can use the 'forever' stamps we purchase today next year without the 'bar-code'. She answered yes, you can use them.

Thank you CxMoody, I read that the 60 cent forever stamps price will go up on January 22, 2023 to 63 cents.

That may mean the advertised new stamp coming out and available on Jan. 23, 2023 (A cute kitten with a red heart) shown at $12.00 for a sheet of 20, the price will increase to 63 cents on Jan. 22nd.

This irks me that we won't know. And I cannot get that stamp now.

The AARP has an article that mentions the forever stamps:
