For TX, TxHHS has Medicaid program with the day to day aspects done by TxDADS (Tx Department of Aging & Disability Services.). You can go online to see what you may qualify for. You will have to show residency in TX - either Tx drivers license or ID. Both are issued by TXDOT & require some sort of other documents to validate the address (like utility bill, or lease, notarized letter by property owner & owner better match up to tax assessor owner name FYI). If you have a car it has to be registered in TX as well & you have to sign off that you have the required insurance for it. TXDOT has no leeway on what they require. You will have to turn in old AR license too which has to still be valid.

. Your zip code is going to determine what office your caseworker & application will go through. If your in the big 4, & live in zipcode with a lower income area, & have to go to meet with caseworker, expect lots of folks at the offices as SNAP, TANF, CHIP get done there too & caseworkers with heavy loads. Good luck.

Sounds like you would need to contact the State of Texas Medicaid office, they should be able to guide you through the process.
