Hello!! My name is Chris. I’m a male with 14 years of experience as a certified nurse aide. I have 3.5 years of hospital experience and for the last 11 years I’ve been working in long term care. Now I want to get into Homecare. I’m not sure where to start. Any advice??

Research Home Care agencies . Look at customer reviews . Look on Glass door as well see employees reviews . Check indeed for job openings . I would assume there are jobs available . I am very familiar with where you are , an affluent county just outside of Philly where some elderly could afford to hire in home care . Look for jobs along the Main Line in places like West Chester , Exton , Malvern , Paoli , King of Prussia . Good Luck.

If I understand you want to use your experience to become a private aid? Or do you want to work for a Home Health Care Agency?

If private care go on the community websites or Care.com.

If a home health CNA, check with your local home health agencies. You can find them listed on Medicare.gov care.

You can enter the zip code you want to work in and you will find the home health companies to apply to.

Truly there is so much need, I’m not sure why you would have a problem.
Good luck.
