I am currently 66 years of age and work part-time. I have not taken my S.S. and letting it grow until 70 years of age so my S.S. will be larger. I do receive a small pension off $150.00 month. I pay medicare and supplemental insurance and prescription coverage, although I am on no medications. My income in the future will be based on the maximum amount of money at age 70 for S.S. and this $150,.00 so I do not want to go over the limit, so maybe I want to stop working before I hit the limit. I own nothing. What is the income limit in PA Thank you and God Bless.

The income limit is different for a couple and a single person.

The income limit may be different in four years.

I don't know how it is in PA and who knows what it will be in four years, but in many states if your monthly income exceeds the limit there are ways you can pay a deducible or otherwise be eligible.

There is no reason to think that you will need Medicaid at age 70, or age 80, or ever. If you remain healthy and continue not to need medications, hooray for you! And in that case I think you would be very glad you earned as much as you could.

The professional you might want to consult about this is an Elder Law attorney, who knows the Medicaid rules inside out and backwards.

You are wise to be thinking ahead, and you may indeed some day need Medicaid, but that is not certain.
