I always see articles on aging parents. There aren't many programs for young adults with disabilities. I'm Blessed to have a wonderful supportive family - but I'd like to see more social programs for these young adults. Where are they?

Yup, they're out there. I volunteered in an adult daycare for people with brain injuries. It was in my own town but I had no idea it existed until I did an extensive Google search. You just have to look.

They are all around you. Your county social services can give you a list. I am in Western NY and we have Opportunities Unlimited and People Inc. If you check on the UCPA website, they list programs. Look for "sheltered workshops" in your area.
