Ford, hug to you! Burnout is terrible. I now take lots of breaks and tell my father to pay for the break givers. If he resists I remind him that if he falls, etc, I cannot do any more for him. If the sitters cist a fortune, then he pays a fortune

104, wow! My mom is actually 92 and the thought that she could be around another 12 years is mind blowing. Yikes!

Ford, I sure do agree with everything you said! Those not in our shoes have no clue what our life is like. The same platitudes from everyone. " So lucky, so blessed",etc. Talk about longevity and open-ended caregiving, Mom is 104 and counting!
