Find Care & Housing
My father is in the hospital, and I see this all the time. I hear them, the patients, down the hall, calling out again and again for help to get to a toilet, but the nurses just tell them to go in their diaper. The patients don’t want to! They want to keep their dignity! I figure it’s easier for the nurses to clean it up later, do it later, always later…

It infuriates me. Yes, I know they’re understaffed, and overworked, and underpaid, but it should not come at the cost of our elder’s dignity.

Methinkst your caregivers might be lazy. Maybe they don’t want to clean the mess if it smears, I don’t know. I would just follow the advice given here. Ask, and then keep track.

Ask them that question; they are the ones most likely to have the answer.

Ask the carers.

Check her rear end, if she isn't being taken care of it will show.

Install cameras to see what is happening.
