kimbo, your child is your responsibility. It is nice that you help your father, but your child comes first. I'm sorry, but you can't opt out of child support to take care of a parent. Your child depends on that money.
One suggestion is to place step-dad into assistant living so that you can return to the paying workforce. It would be better for your own self-worth and for your sanity. Caring for an elder 24/7 can be terribly draining and very stressful.
Unfortunately your step-dad's condition is only going to get worse, so why not help him move now while he can still learn his way around the facilities and while he can gain new friendships with the others at the facility. Elders enjoy being around people of their own age group as they have a lot in common.
