HI, im a CNA with a certified family home. caring for mom n law w/ AD, overcoming untruths, leaving depends on, B-room is not Bathroom.1. She's beginning the end stage of AD, does not want to keep clothes on, does not go to the bathroom anymore until after wet, she takes wet depend off and says some else put it in her room. Only wants to eat sweets,(that's understandable) everything is too tight! Including her seatbelt I've gotten off of the freeway many times to put her seatbelt back on. I've worked with alot of AD patients but this one is very difficult because she has deep set stubbornness.

Find Care & Housing
Do not attempt to transport her without a posie, because she will be trying to get out of your car. Talk to her MD about a memory care unit, because soon she will wander away from the house.

I hate to always sound like I am pushing meds... but we are not dealing with people that have the cognitive ability to work thru problems.... first and foremost, keep an eye on UTI's.... can't stress this enough... and sometimes when they are already agitated and hard to get to cooperate, this is hard to see if it is UTI symptoms.... but I would see about getting some meds for the agitation.... this is their stress coming out in the only way they can express it.... you may have to try different meds until you can find one that works... there are NO specific meds for AD and the later stage behavior's.... it's a crap shoot.... but wishing you some hope here that something helps her before she or you get hurt.... prayer for your strength and endurance.... lots of hugs..
