My husband passed away and his company changed hands several times. Now owned by Enron. I have a $10,000 life insurance policy but can't find the company to collect from.
Any ideas? It was first Crown Zellerbach now Enron. Need money desperately.

Vasuna, I am glad you came back to the forum. I was worried you would have missed what I had found. Hope you find that insurance policy.

Vasuna, I was just thinking, maybe your hubby worked for Crown Zellerback and then changed jobs completely going to work for Enron. If that is the case, Enron changed their name in 2007 to Enron Creditors Recovery Corp but I don't think that group is still around. You could search the Internet to see if you can find a telephone number.

Crown Zellerbach [lumber, paper, pulp] was sold to Georgia-Pacific [also lumber, paper, pulp] and is now under the umbrella of Koch Industries.

I couldn't find any connection with Enron.

So try calling Georgia-Pacific and also try Koch Industries.

Enron went bankrupt in 2001, so they are no longer around. Bankruptcy court distributed assets. Your state insurance department should know who ended up with the insurance assets.

Call the Benefits department at Enron and they should have the information. Sorry for your loss.
