Sorry. Need more information re the paperwork. Truth be told, anyplace can refuse anyone with any reason or none, so given that, what have been your problems with seeing placement?
You say in your profile that your Mom has had three strokes and is now all but bedridden. And that you have done paperwork for ALF. Truth be told, given she is no longer out of bed, your Mom doesn't really qualify for assisted living and may need a nursing home placement. She would likely not qualify for Board and Care either.
And welcome to the Forum; we are glad you are here. Happens you live in the town I spent my teen years in--lived on Rawson Creek Rd. Went to Crystal Lake Community High. So, again, welcome.

I always say I placed Mom. Sounds better to me.

Are you over thinking or they have asked for paperwork you can't provide. What do you mean by correct. I cannot remember what I provided but don't remember having any problems.

Placing does sound nicer.

Razzle, perhaps it will help if you change your head-talk. You aren’t ‘putting her in AL’, like it says in your profile. The fact is that she is moving to the most appropriate place for her - just like we all did when we grew up and stopped living with mom and dad. The right place to live changes as life changes. Feel good for mother and for yourself, because you are helping her to find the right place, not to mention dealing with the paperwork. Be good, feel good! xxx

Welcome to the forum.

You have to do what you have to do.

I just read your profile. You have had your hands full with your mom.

I am sorry that you have had to endure so much.

You will be able to resume your life once your mom is settled into an assisted living facility.

What paperwork are you referring to?
