Can someone recommend a watch that shows date?

Some of the real wristwatches will do that. I think Seiko is one brand but they are solar powered these days and do need some sun light to recharge.

I always use my cell phone to look up the time. Watches seem so antiquated to me. I know that some people still like watches. I hope that you find one to suit his needs.

You mean like a digital? My husband just had to change his. Its something about 31 days.

At his age and problems it will be hard for him to get used to something new.
