Wills are almost always filed in probate court in the county in which the person died. These are public documents that you can search. Find out where in your country to do this, and watch for the will to be filed. If it is a TRUST it need not be filed in court, but most wills are. Some estates are so small that no filing is required whatsoever. Do you know who the executor of the will is? Do you know other family members. It could be as simple as asking "I was told I am a beneficiary; do you know if this is true?"
