Can Parkinson’s affect diabetes?

My uncle is in the end stages of Parkinsons and has diabetes. He is on short lasting insulin shots and long lasting plus metformin for the diabetes, but his numbers can be in the 300-350 at times even though we also try to watch what he eats.

It has been found that Parkinson's disease is associated with high incidence of insulin resistance which causes diabetes 2. High glucose blood levels make Parkinson's symptoms worse, also they reduce the effectiveness of Levodopa a common Parkinson's medication.

This is really a question you need to ask his endocrinologist. From what I read diabetes type 2 can effect Parkinsons. Can't find the reverse. I knew a man where 300 was his norm.
