My sister does everything for my father she is an angel watching over him as his care has included the constant showering of him as he just goes right through the diapers and the sheets, and on and on with the care I’m sure all of you have either gone through or are still going through. I keep telling my sister to apply to be paid for the work you are doing it’s a massive job she does. It’s not easy and she says it’s to hard to get approved? She thinks Medicare will make us pay cause if his house loans showing assets but the home deeds are in my sister's name and my home deed is just me he is on the loan though, plus he has very little in bank now cause of his daycare at a center 5 days a week and other bills like meds and house supplies. If anyone has a similar situation and knows if they will come after his money and assets then please let me know cause we need help.
Also major thumbs up for giving your sister props for taking care of your dad. It seems most posts relating to siblings and the care of parents is negative.
You should call your local Area Agency on Aging and ask if your father qualifies for a Medicaid waiver program so that a family caregiver can be paid.

I just wanted to say what a great brother that you are. That you recognize what your sister does. That is such a wonderful thing that many here do not experience. So thank you for letting us see that you care and know she has a hard job as a caregiver.
