My brother is worried that somehow my family will gain access to my dad's monies if he shares passcode and account information with siblings. He is Financial POA. Only he and his wife have the account number information on dad's accounts. To assure privacy, he filed password and account numbers with his lawyer in the event he and his wife a suddenly in an accident. Isn't that a conflict of interest on the lawyer's part and can he accept that type of information because it is private information and not pertinent for representation of his client? Unfortunately his wife is questionable in terms of faithfulness to my brother and the rest of our family; so her having the code is worse than his siblings but our hands are tied.
