I live with them but my boyfriend wants to go to the beach about 800 miles away I can get someone to check on them once a day mom is afraid to be left along at night my dad can’t get up at all, he's just barely able to feed his self. I really don’t see any harm in leaving them for a few days.

Can you hire a couple of friends or neighbors to take turns staying with your parents during the day and night? Sure, it'll cost money, but you will have peace of mind that your parents are safe. Just consider that part of the cost of the vacation.

Another option is to check with the local care facilities to see if they provide respite care at their place. Your parents can stay at the care facility and be looked after by the staff for a few days.

Just don't leave them by themselves. A neighbor might call Adult Protective Services on you.

Enjoy your vacation!

For long term planning, you should really have someone come periodically, maybe one day a week, to relieve you so that you can have a break and a life.

For longer term planning, perhaps your folks should be in an Assisted Living facility or a nursing home. Ask their doctors.

They need to go to assisted living. You need to live your life. I agree with respite care while you are gone

This is what Respite Care is for. How is your mother supposed to bring food to your dad, if she walks with a walker? Can she manage changing him, turning him etc?

How can you see "No harm" in leaving your folks alone for a few days, and then say your dad can't get up at all and is just barely able to feed himself and your mom is afraid to be left alone? If you are seriously asking advice here, the answer is obvious: your parents are in no condition to be left alone while you go on vacation 800 miles away, and you know that. I doubt anyone here will tell you otherwise. That's not to say you shouldn't take a vacation, but you need to bring in qualified care givers to look after your parents the entire time you're gone.

Call their doctor and tell them what you’re planning on doing. They should NOT be left alone. If anything happens to them while you are gone, you could be brought up on charges with Adult Protective Services. You cannot leave them completely alone while you go on vacation. You need to find someone to take care of them while you are gone.
