Have a infestation of bed bugs can't afford to pay for it I have COPD and have had strokes and heart attack before hoping to get some help

Find Care & Housing
If you have COPD and a chemical is to be used, you have more problems than paying for an exterminator. You will need to vacate for a while

Contact social services for your county

Contact your local Area Agency on Aging for possible resources

Join Nextdoor.com and ask if someone would be willing to exterminate them for a discounted price, or donate the service

If you belong to a church or faith organization, contact their main office and ask if they can help.

These are very difficult to get out once they infest carpeting and behind floorboards and etc, and often the entire home needs to be done with laundry and clothing, bedding and etc as well as fogging the place. This is nothing you could endure with your COPD. I don't know what help you have in terms of family you an stay with but they are of course going to be terrified over their own infestation. My neighbors had their home turned into Airbnb when they went to Europe for six months. The resulting infestation was an ongoing nightmare over a year and they never did it again.

I wish you good luck, but this is something you should call APS about and find out options to keep you safe in care while the housing problem is addressed (hopefully). I wish you the best of luck.
