Can anyone recommend the best simple to use electric shaver?

I got a cheap Braun at target that can be used wet or dry. It’s blue and is rechargeable perfect for hub for same reason. Good luck

Thank you everyone for all the input . FIL called the other night to tell us he can’t stand up long enough to shave anymore.
Mind you he has the Cadillac of rolling walkers with a huge seat and he is skinny and he has a wheelchair in his room .
DH went down to his AL and showed him that the wheelchair fits under the counter at the sink .Very surprised that FIL says he will try the wheelchair since he was so adamant about never using one . DH also gave him a makeup mirror to put on the counter even though there is a large mirror on the wall that goes all the way down to the counter so that people in wheelchairs can see. We will see how this goes . He’s still refusing electric razor . We will give it a couple of weeks and if he’s still having trouble we will buy one anyway .

Phillips One Blade : available on Amazon . A FOIL SHAVER . He was able to use while in skilled nursing after a fall. It’s fantastic. My husband loves it & uses it just like a regular razor, but there’s no sharp blade to cut you.

Same thing with my Dad he did not want to use an electric shaver. Also with dementia. I bought him a Philips Norelco three rotors and said just try it. He tryed it and was not so pleased then I touched his face and said wow Dad your face feels amazing and did that for the rest of the day. He was so pleased to know everyone thought his face looked amazing and soft. That did the trick.
FYI I came in one day and he said that good razor broke already I guess I will have to go back to that bad one now. I said let me see. I picked it up and unplugged it works fine Dad. The next day same thing this time I said show me. He picked it up and said see. I said Dad you can’t have it plugged in when you want to use it, plus not good for battery to keep it plugged in. It took awhile but now he remembers most of the time.

I just went through the same thing with my husband. He’s in an assisted care facility and they don’t allow regular razors and honestly he can’t handle one because his hands are no longer cooperating. I got him a Norelco three rotary razor rechargeable, but I bought him some preshave liquid. You put that on first and it causes the hairs to stick up a little and then you can shave it much easier.

My husband uses Sharper Image World’s Fastest Cordless Foil Shaver and Trimmer. It’s very good. He has a light beard, though, so don’t know if it would be as good on a heavy beard.

Norelco. Can buy at Walgreens or Target and probably many others. Simple. Has a charger. Also has a hair trimmer built in.

My dad used an electric razor all his life - well, at least all the life I was involved in - and he liked the Phillips ones with three heads, my bother had one too. Since FIL is used to shaving at the sink where there will likely be an outlet I'd consider getting a plug in model so he doesn't have to fiddle with chargers or it slowing down from low battery. But my advice is dated as the younger men in my life all prefer a blade.

I would research the reviews. I find typing in "The best...for..." gives me great results with lots of different choices to look into.

Then go look at what is available and have your husband hold it and see if it feels sturdy and fits his palm nicely.

Sometimes doing this makes it so much easier, because the reviews tell you what people do not like about the product and narrows your choices down.

I just bought a laptop this way and it has been a blessing, I knew walking in to stores what I wanted and what brands weren't an option. Took a half hour to buy my new laptop and I saved over 800 bucks by knowing the included features that were a waste of money for me.

Good luck finding the best shaver. Everyone I know that uses one had to do trial and error but, now absolutely love the convenience and shave they get. I will pray for your success in this endeavour.
