My mother-in-law put in the limitations of her health care proxy that her agent could not remove her from her house. She does not want to be put into an assisted living facility. The issue is that she has the beginning stages of dementia and will probably require 24 hour care as some point soon. Since this would not be feasible (or safe for that matter) in her house, is that part of the limitation legally enforceable? Would we have to go to court to override this?
