Both parents are 88 years old. My mom does pretty good, however, she did stop driving within the last few months. There are four of us siblings. One lives about four hours away, one is single, works full time and has teenage children, and the other sibling does what she can for my parents, however, her and my mom butt heads. My brother is their main caretaker (driving them to and from appts, banking, etc). He helps with the cats, garbage, errands, and takes care of my dad's needs. My dad can do most of his own ADL's, but needs help every so often. My mom doesn't take care of my dad at all. How can he get compensated for being their caregivers? They reside in Michigan.

Find Care & Housing
He needs to call his County Office of Aging to see if there are any programs out there. Medicaid maybe another thing but your parents have to have no assets.

There really isn't anything out their for Caregivers.
