Is calling APS a sure fire way to get help for your loved one?

What is the 1st step? Her Dr.is no help. She lied thru evaluation at the E. R. so they sent her home. Dad wouldn't say he didn't feel safe with her. She isn't violent just hateful & paranoid. I tell her she needs help at least every other day & she says dad is the crazy one.

Don't call APS. What do you expect them to do? Mom needs medical attention and dad needs support. Do it yourselves without the government interference.

She needs to be seen by a geriatric psychiatrist, i would think. Who did the testing? Was it a neurologist?
