Money to fix our vehicle for inspection. Is there a service for disabled seniors to help us? We have severe health issues and social services won’t take into account debt to Racio to help us

I agree with Burnt that you need now to be creative. Your being destitute means that you are destitute, and our country is flooded with people with no vehicles living in tents on the streets.

If you have credit, still, then get the car fixed for the best price, pleading age and anything else you can think of.

There are many seniors now struggling on little to no income. You are but one of many. I would try a call to your local council on aging and ask for any options or pointers on a way to get help from some kind company that gives breaks in price to seniors and those on limited income.

The Go-Fund-Me idea is a good one. Your story may open hearts and pocketbooks. But the instability of being so without an income means you MUST begin saving change in the coffeecan for emergencies.

I am so sorry.

Thanks for agreeing with me before my comment was removed for no apparent reason. I guess telling the truth is offensive to some.

Call your Office of Aging. See what resources are out there for you. They should supply Senior bussing for appts and shopping. That may be the way you have to go now. If you can't afford to fix your car, you can't afford the insurance or registration. I know some states have a yearly tax on cars.

This is a forum for caregivers not an fundraising website for on-line panhandlers.

Start a GoFundMe if you need cash that badly. It's not up to social services to get your vehicle fixed and keep it maintained. I'm sure you and your husband collect from every social program the United States has to offer. So, you have to be responsible for your own vehicle.

If the health issues you and your husband have are as severe as you claim, you're both getting homecare aide service. These people will drive you where you need to go and run your errands.
