I think we need to know the answers to Barb's questions to be of help. Has she been diagnosed with borderline personality disorder? How long ago?
Is she driving her kids crazy, or your kids (her grandkids)?
You'll get lots of answers if you'll just provide more detail.

Is your mother under the care of a psychiatrist?
Where does she reside?
What are her demands? What happens if they are not met?
