Anyone know of a good book showing the adjustment from own home to assisted living?

My Mom needs AL badly, but refusing a great deal. Very unsafe with meds at home, not eating getting weaker, even with aides helping her. Refuses Lifeline, more 24 hr. care. Short of guardianship any other ideas?

Not eating is too late for Assisted Living. AL's expect the resident to ambulate to the dining hall and eat independently. Have Hospice evaluate her.
