Spouse exhausts me during the day and I need to rethink my 7 a.m. to 11 p.m. schedule to sleep as well as can be. I can switch dinner earlier than its current 7 p.m. and would like to sleep through the night as much as possible. Right now it's at least 1 pit stop in the dark hours; looking at the clock then it's pretty depressing so all I know is that it's dark. Any thoughts about timing appreciated.

Timing... not so sure. try an hour earlier for water, and then stop?

On a trial basis, it's dinner at 6:30 p.m. and trying out sucking a candy mint or something like that in the evening. Thanks for replying.

It depends but to be safe 7pm. Give it a try and see how it goes.
No one will dehydrate from not drinking 10 hours.

Thanks for the swift reply - the dinner time is now 6:30 and it's acceptable to drink with the meal and quit afterwards. Maybe I can suck some lozenge or candy or something in the evening.

I once had a doctor tell me 2:00pm is when liquids should be ceased if one wants to really avoid having to get up at night to pee.

Cant say if that would work - never tried it. Way to extreme. IMO, at least.

I think 6pm is a good cut off time. Dinner at 5pm works for us.

Thanks for replying - it's easier to eat earlier now that it's getting on to shorter days. I retire at 10.30 and sleep around 11, so 6-11 could be lollipop time! :D
