I have been shopping some of the automated pill dispensers and wondering if anyone has any recommendations or experiences they can share - there’s a wider variety and options than I expected.
The blister packs from the pharmacy are a great if your only need is to keep track of multiple medications, if there is any need to prevent someone doubling up or skipping doses then the alzheimer's store has a couple that can be locked and even monitored remotely.
Check out a pharmacy that dispenses pills in individual dosage packs. They'll put all the morning pills in one pack, the afternoon ones in another, and so forth for a month's worth of doses. That's how the pharmacy at my mom's nursing home does it, and it's a brilliant solution.
