Would be interested in St. Mary of the Woods assisted living place where we may get the Eucharist as often as possible and possible mass held weekly. Is there a chapel nearby or church that has daily mass. Would a priest come upon request for confession and absolution and giving of the Eucharist. Do they take Medicaid or do we pay rent like an independent place we are on SSI and only make 721.00 a month at this point. What are the amenities available at an assisted living place.

Do they take people who are handicapped? Mostly mentally but is managed pretty well with meds! Has pain in right leg and hip caused from being the victim of a hit and run accident.

Most assisted living facilities require that both residents be 65 or older. For those under 65, look into subsidized (income-based)housing through your local housing authority. There may be a wait list but the housing costs are usually only 30% of what you make. If your husband needs help with daily care, Senior Services can help set that up.
The only places that take Medicaid are assisted living or nursing homes.
