In Rochester, NY every 6 to 8 weeks. My mother and stepfather just separated. My stepfather is not allowed to drive. He does not have anyone to take him to his doctor appointments in Rochester. Is there a service that could help him? I work full time and have two kids so I can't take that much time off from work.

How far away from his house to the hospital? Strong Memorial has transport services for their hospital. Rochester Medical Transport also has services. If he is going to a VA hospital, they have their own system.

He actually lives in Elmira so it is a 2 hour drive. He does not want to move because my family and I live here. He is healthy enough to live on his own but he can't drive. No Elmira doctors will see him for his check ups because of the equipment he has.

Call the MD in Rochester and ask if he has a colleague closer to you who will take the case. Elmira is a pretty big place, there are at least 8 pulmonary specialists there.
