Oh, sure. You can call Visiting Angels or Granny Nannies. Their prices in Orlando, FL, are $33/hr for weekdays and $35/hr weekends. There may be other companies like that in your area.

I pay one of my adult kids to do it. They are 20s to 30s and of course always broke so it works out for all of us.

If this person needs 24/7 care including administering medications it is probable that placing them in a facility for Respite would be less expensive than in home care.
Most caregivers from an agency can not directly administer medications. If the med can be put in a cup and the patient physically take it them selves that would be fine. But if they need help that would require a caregiver with a higher certification, and if there are physical things that need to be done it is possible that a nurse would have to be assigned. (injections, tubes, wounds)

Call around to a variety of agencies and find out what can be done and the cost.
Call around to a few facilities that can provide the level of care that your LO needs and what is the cost. Assisted Living would be less expensive than Memory Care and the cost would be different for Skilled Nursing.

Google “respite care” near you. There are lots of options for either, but I suggest you go with the “senior hotel” versus aides in moms house while you’re not there to supervise them or at least be a presence.
