togeblu, if an adult child or adult grandchild care for a parent or grandparent, they normally do not get paid. If they do get paid, usually it is the parent or grandparent who pays them. If your grandmother can pay you, it would be better for her to pay a certified professional caregiver thus giving you time to continue being a college student and pursue your career.

I am still curious about the grant you are mentioning. Is it a State grant or Federal grant? What does it entail?

Something to help tie up loose ends. I have trouble finding work because I need to take care of her. I did some research and I see there is a petition for a grant but I wanted to know if there was something in the works.

Leave her in psychiatric care. There are no grants. Finish school and build your future.
