Anyone use a TENS, or transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation for chronic muscular pain?

My patient is a hemiplegic and suffers chronic pain in the right (contracted) arm. Would a TENS help? I think the device is covered by Medicare.

My mother used to have chronic pain. She had to use TENS for several years. It did give her relief for a few hours at a time.

They used one on me during Physical Therapy, it worked great. Maybe you could arrange a few sessions with a local Physical Therapy clinic and if it works then invest in one?
