Just curious to know if anyone has had experience with them? They had a mindfulness course and I was going to sign up, left my email and phone number. I took a excellent Teepa Snow class with them. The Lady called me from Brewster, MA. and said, "We need your full physical address in case we see you in distress and we are obligated to call 911." I said, "I am a caregiver and have taken meditation courses and mindfulness before. I do not feel comfortable giving you my address." She said, fine and I hung up the phone. I am tired of some of this stuff. We are doing a course over the internet, how can a stranger tell if you are in distress? This really felt like a invasion of privacy and really creepy.

I have had absolutely WONDERFUL experiences with themAlzheimer’s Association. However, I believe some of the people who answer the phones are either volunteers or not well trained so it is best to call someone from your chapter who runs support groups. I can’t believe how helpful these people are. I’ve never had them ask inappropriate or invasive questions. I recommend you try again.

I think this is their policy it said so in the email - Of course this is a small town on Cape cod called Brewster . I did a Teepa Snow class one day - all day and it was excellent and a Savvy Caregiver course over 6 weeks with another group . I feel how can a outsider Judge over the internet know you are in distress ? Seems Like Its against Our constitutional rights . I will try my Local chapter and ask about this class .

I’m not familiar with this.

You did the right thing if you were unsure about the situation.

I wouldn’t be comfortable giving personal information to someone that I wasn’t sure was legit.
