Anyone have experience using GrandCare Systems in your LO's home?

For someone with dementia I would not use a remote monitoring system as the sole monitor.
I would not leave a person with dementia alone.
There are so many things that can happen so quickly.
A person with dementia at some point may not know to push a button for help, they may not pick up a phone, they may not respond to a voice out of a speaker. A fall might happen in an unmonitored part of the house. Getting out of the house is a possibility as well.
A live in caregiver or several caregivers taking shifts would be the way to go if you want to keep her in her home.
But is the home going to remain a safe place for her as she declines?

I haven’t had experience with that system, but I have an Echo Show set up in my mom’s assisted living apartment. You can set it so that you can drop in and video chat without her having to answer the call. Recently I also added two Ring indoor video cams placed strategically so that I can peek in on her any time day or night and know that she’s safe and sound. (I installed these after she fell in May during the night and wasn’t discovered until the next morning.)
