Has anyone had experience with a nursing home giving Melatonin to Alzheimer's patients?

I take Melatonin regularly. It's helpful for relaxation but doesn't really put me to sleep.

My mother has been prescribed melatonin for sleep by the psych docs who consult at her nursing home. It works well.

I haven't personally, but I understand this is help the patient sleep better. I hope others can give more insight.
