Does any one know what a soft greenish poop with black flecks in it would be from?? My husband has had this for months now. Several times a day. Doesn't seem to have anything to do with is diet or medication! The doctor is going to check it out, but I wondered if anyone else experienced this.

A specimen kit arrived today, so it will be awhile before I know anything. I'll post the results.

My non-med-pro understanding is that the green can be mucus and/or pus, which is caused by the intestine's reaction to infection of some kind. Please report back if a diagnosis is reached, thank you!

Has his doc done an occult blood test? Very often, black matter in a stool is dried blood.
