If a dementia resident has had behavior in the past, will that effect future placement?

As some of you already know, my BIL had some behavior issues in the past because at the time, the doctors were not able to regulate his meds. He is not having any behaviors at the present time but I am wondering is his past still going to effect him getting a facility closer to home to accept him?

I doubt it, we are moving my step-father and his wife from a home in AZ to FL. There have been issues, nothing was said.

I dint think so. One facility can send a letter to the other stating that his behavior was due to his meds not being regulated, and since they have been now, he is much better. Or, his doctors can write the letter.
