How do I get someone to visit my dad for alcohol abuse counseling at his assisted living home?

He is a severe alcoholic but is considered a "dry drunk" now. My sisters and I just moved him into assisted living in sun prairie, Wi and they don't offer treatment. Is there a place that offers volunteer visits once a week perhaps to come talk with my dad? Perhaps a veteran? Thanks so much!

Alcoholic Anonymous will send a volunteer to visit him. Wonder if the American Legion or Veterans of Foreign Wars might be able to assist.

AA is definitely the answer. It is part of the program to help other sufferers. Many of them are men, which can be good for Dad to have a chance for male company.
