Where can I get help to install a coreless phone in my home.

Eek. Sounds like its a little scary to leave hubby alone...and cordless phones have a habit of getting lost and then you can't call them the way you would a cell phone. A Jitterbug or other easy, inexpensive cell phone would be an idea, or maybe what you really need is the Philips Lifeline - Medical Alert Service or similar service. Most of these have just one button you push and may automatically alert to a fall.

I am in the same situation. My dad is forgetting how to use his phone.
I have bee considering a GPS Tracking watch. There are several types available and some have a panic button that can be programmed to dial your number.

You can buy these devices to go around youjr neck but unless you use a company with monitoring serivce, which can be expensive, they will not be much help. I am not aware of any that ring to someone other than a monitoring service which can be from $35.00 to $50.00 a month. I need one for my 91 yr old mother too. If anyone knows of any that do not require monitoring but can get to a family member, I need one too. The private ones you can buy just make a loud noise like a whistle and no one would hear it or know what it is.

My grandmother had one but I can't remember what company it was. She could push the button and it would alert the company to call 911 and it sounded an alarm on my brother's phone so he could go check on her too. He lived next door to her at the time and looked after her.

I looked at the S911 GPS line and I am pretty sure they all allow you to program a phone number for alerts. But Scmoonbeam may be right on the monthly fee's. I could not find any information for it on their web site.

HOWEVER.. I found a site "Mommy Im Here", that offers some interesting Child Locator gadgets. It looks like it is designed as an audible alarm type system.
I am not sure if we are allowed to post URLs here, but you can google "mommyimhere" to find the site. I do not think there is a monthly subscription fee. There may be other similar "Child Locator" gadgets available that could work for you.
