My family is struggling to pay. My grandfather currently has Parkinson's, Diabetes, and Lewy Body dementia. He is going to be living with my mother but they will need an in-home caregiver while she is at work. He hasn't received his VA benefits yet, but even then the costs will be incredibly tight. We are looking to see if there are any agencies or groups that can offer financial assistance so we can provide an in-home caregiver for my grandfather so my mom can continue to work.

Find Care & Housing
Vast majority of grown children do not get paid for caring for their parent unless the parent can pay from their own retirement fund.

Curious, where is your Grandfather currently living? If he owns his own home, he can sell the house and use he proceeds to help pay for his care by having a paid professional caregiver come to the home while your Mom is at work.

Otherwise, see if your Grandfather can apply for Medicaid. Medicaid will help pay for continuing care in a facility which would offer around the clock care.
