You need to make an appointment with an attorney specializing in elder law. The fact that he has a child from another marriage may effect your inheritance rights and position if your husband doesn't have a will. It will not effect how marital assets will be claimed by Medicaid should your husband need institutional care and run through his assets.

I URGE you to see an elder care attorney if you have assets To protect. Pronto.

alot of this is speaking of parents , well my husband has dementia how does that affect my rights, if he has a living child from
