That should say "sitandbefit"
They usually air on PBS television stations, but you can order the videos online or by phone.
They are exercises done sitting down or sometimes they show some where you stand but hold on to the chair. Very easy, smooth movements. Sit and Be Fit.

Mom did get PT for walking and balancing. I worked with her for months and she didn't want to do it anymore. The posture and neck started happening in the last 2 months. She refuse to go to PT!!! When I make the appointments, she give negative attitude. Try encouraging her but very stubborn. I can call her primary doctor to see if they can mail something that I can work with her.

It's pretty challenging to get a dementia patient to do something if they resist. I found that a person trained to work with them who is upbeat and innovative is helpful, but eventually, the therapy may not be something that is within reach. Eventually, their ability to focus and use their limbs will be affected and I'm not sure you can force it to happen.

I don't know of any exercises, but have trying to get my loved one some therapy in her Memory Care Unit. The doctor says that unless it's likely they are going to regain their mobility, Medicare won't cover it.

I'm not sure there are any dementia patients who don't develop poor posture. And I"m not sure if any exercises would help. Maybe some other members here know the answer.

Take a look at Sitandbefit

I have found that I cannot MAKE my MIL do any exercises, no matter how easy, because she simply doesn't see the need. However, these are good, easily done and easily adapted exercises.
