My husband attends an adult day care center of which I pay $130. a day. I need to know if it is tax deductible so I can begin preparing my taxes.

It depends. My mom must go to daycare as I still work. It is tax deductible for HER. Not me as I pay for it out of her money. Check with your tax account.

See IRS Pub503, because there are limits to what you can deduct, especially if you exclude or deduct dependent care benefits. The day care must also provide you with their legal name/ address/ EIN number. I would want a tax prep person.

Probably not. Medically necessary care prescribed by a doctor is deductible. Most day care centers do not provide medical care.
