75 yr old mother has limited mobility. Suddenly her left leg has "frozen" in 45 degree angle. Any ideas?

HelpMum, time to call the para-medics and get Mum to a hospital. You cannot leave Mum be in such screaming pain. Really surprised no doctors can't figure this out.
