Patricia Grace Joyce is a freelance writer, novelist, screenwriter, poet, song lyricist and a diverse visual artist originating from Cresskill, New Jersey; however, she lived the majority of her youth within New City, New York, located in Rockland County, New York. She holds a B.A. degree from Goucher College in Baltimore, Maryland and graduated with honors in the Visual Arts. Additionally, she is a graduate of numerous UCLA Extension Writers Program courses. Patricia recently published her debut novel The Magic of Time (http://www.themagicoftime.com) the first of a 4-book deal. The Magic of Time is a well-researched and entertaining time-travel mystery romance, transporting our tormented heroine, Graziella Fortuna from present-day Los Angeles to a past lifetime in nineteenth century London, England. Brilliantly plotted, colorfully written, and vividly imagined, it is a riveting tale of the paranormal, embracing the universal challenge of love vs. fear. Patricia presently resides in Los Angeles, California. Patricia has also written the screenplay for this first novel, with three successive scripts and novels to follow. Her full feature screenplay, The Magic of Time placed as a semifinalist in the 2006 Writers on the Storm Screenplay Competition by Coverage Ink in Los Angeles, CA, placed as a finalist in the 2006 La Femme International Film Festival, placed as a quarterfinalist in the 2006 Fade-in Magazine Screenplay Competition, placed as a finalist in the 2007 Red Ink Works Screenplay Competition and placed as a finalist in the 2007 Beverly Hills International Film Festival. Additionally, the screenplay placed as a finalist in the 2007 Writers on the Storm Screenplay Competition, a semi-finalist in the 2007 Blue Cat Screenplay Competition, received recognition of Honorable Mention in the 2008 Sound Heritage Film Festival and placed as a semifinalist in the 2010 Screenplay Search Screenwriting Competition. Patricia published poetry in five anthologies entitled, Stepping Stones (Watermark Press, © 2000), The Best Poems and Poets of 2001 (Watermark Press, © 2001), The Best Poems and Poets of 2002 (Watermark Press © 2002), The Colors of Life (Watermark Press, © 2003) and The International Who’s Who of Poetry (Watermark Press © 2004). Her poetry was released on a three-set CD with baroque music, entitled The Sound of Poetry and it is also represented on various web sites, such as poetry.com. Patricia is currently researching and writing the second novel of the book series, and also writing a collection of inspirational poetry with corresponding original photography. In addition to her creative writing, Patricia’s visual art focuses upon the media of porcelain and stoneware clay as a production potter, mixed-media collage, sculpture, textile and fiber arts, acrylic and watercolor painting, mural painting, photography, contemporary art, architecture and interior design.Patricia’s interests include classical music, opera, jazz, nutrition, foreign languages, travel, archeology, architecture, alternative medicine, vegetarian cooking, reflexology, Reiki healing, dance, running, tennis, cycling, hiking, skiing, swimming, yoga, Pilates, gardening, winemaking, Palmistry, Tarot cards and reading anything she can get her hands on.
