At Visiting Angels, we strive to make staying at home a positive experience. We do this by allowing you to select your caregiver from a group of skilled elderly home care providers, allowing you to maintain your schedule, and providing you or your loved one with personalized elderly care services (unskilled caregivers may be utilized only in cases where no personal care or hygiene assistance is needed).

You Are In Charge - We're On Your Schedule - with Visiting Angels, you're in charge of everything. Your Visiting Angels elderly home care provider will not dictate to you what your schedule is to be (i.e. what time to get up, when to bathe, meal schedules, etc.). It’s our job to adjust to your schedule and to see to it that you remain comfortable in your home. Visiting Angels is senior home care at its best!

Bonded, Licensed, and Insured - All Visiting Angels senior care agencies are required to be boned and insured. In states where licensing is required, it’s our policy that our elderly care agencies have the appropriate state license that permits "hands-on" care. This can give you the peace of mind that a trustworthy caregiver will be in your loved one's home.

Monitoring is Essential - Visiting Angels' senior home care agencies trained to continuously monitor their caregivers through our unique system of continued personalized contacts. Through telephone check-in and home visits, our system is designed to enable us to check in regularly with your loved one. We want our elderly care recipients to receive the best possible care.

Tailor Your Care To Your Needs - No two people are the same. Therefore their elderly care needs are very different. Whether you need respite care, in home care, part time or full time care, or care at an assisted living facility, Visiting Angels can offer a skilled caregiver that is right for you. Our franchised agencies tailor your program of senior home care based on your needs. Your elderly care program is flexible and you can change the program as different needs arise. We will also work along with any home health agency or nursing agency that may be assisting your loved one after a recent hospital stay.

Gail, I am a current client
I have used Visiting Angels for years. I am now 75, and I need more help than ever, as I also have a nine-year-old special needs son. I love my Angel. She is kind, punctual, efficient, and responsible. If I don't have a specific agenda in mind, she always finds things to do for me that I may not have noticed. My son and I both love her. She knows tricks for getting things clean that I have never heard of. She is always on the watch for my safety, as I have fallen several times in my home. I have pretty severe pain throughout my body. If she sees me trying to do a task (such as changing my sheets), she always notices and comes to help me. She is always kind, cheerful, and respectful. I don't know how I could manage without her.

I am a past client
They sent a woman out to see where power box was, etc, and required I pay in full for 2 weeks when I only needed one. I was clear I needed help to sit up, get out of bed, they sent a disabled woman in her 70s, friend of the owner. The woman became irritated with me for asking why she did a stupid thing.(she ran water over an 'in bed basket' that had my cell phone note pad, meds, tissues, etc , it was sitting in the bathroom sink while she made the bed!, said she 'didn't see' it?) She quit on me then, they sent another young woman over who worked out. But she broke a glass shelf in the refrigerator while cleaning it. She told me people my age (50s) usually don't hire them. If I am paying $27.00+ an hour while they are there then asking to sweep the floor, or clean something, cook something while I am recovering from major surgery is a normal request. (They do nothing medical) TV ads show VAs doing unless things for the elderly-cutting roses for granny, when what is needed is the toilet cleaned, laundry done.. Maybe working people are paying VAs to be guilt free 'stand in family' to mom or dad because they can't, or aren't there. VA never returned the 1 week overage I paid up front. At 29 days later I called and was given the excuse that the book keeper was out sick, etc. I reminded the owner CA law requires you notify the customer WHY you aren't producing the product, or refund. I got the check 2 days later. Be clear what you will need, especially if you are alone.
