Chicopee, MA is Laurie's hometown as well as home to the Touching Hearts At Home – Hampden County office. Laurie graduated from Chicopee High School, and later, Westfield State College. She graduated Cum Laude, earning a Bachelor of Arts degree with concentrations in Sociology, Psychology and Communication. Her early career began working as a caregiver for the Visiting Nurses Association. Laurie moved on to a Customer Service position for a major life insurance company. Eventually, Laurie's work introduced her to the field of technology and travel. Laurie worked throughout the U.S. and Canada for 5 years, returning to Chicopee to start a family.
In the past, Laurie has also volunteered at a shelter for battered women and children. This involved answering hotline calls, caring for the women and children at the shelter and in emergencies, traveling to pick up women and their children to escort them to the shelter.
Our mission is to help seniors and adults with disabilities age with dignity while enhancing the quality of life in their own home. Our caregivers provide personal care services, assistance with activities of daily living, homemaking services, transportation and companionship.
Laurie resides in Chicopee with her teenage twins, Sydney and Joshua. When not working, Laurie loves being a mom, supporting her children while participating in sports, walking, going to the beach and watching the sun set whenever possible.
