My mother has been a resident of The Magnolia for two years in the memory care unit. They have had 3 administrators in 2 years. Adult Protective Services has been there several times regarding my mom. Some of the concerns were that the commode did not work for a week, the bathroom was filthy, and the cable bill and drugstore bill were not paid in a timely manner which caused late fees. Two of the administrators were not hands-on managers. The STATE has also been there on my mom's behalf. That administrator was either terminated or she quit that day. The current administrator is always in her office with her door closed. If you knock on the door, she will not answer it nor does she return calls. It is awful that Adult Protective Services had to tell them how to clean the bathroom. They have served sandwiches and chips as a meal. The staff is very lazy and are NOT properly trained for memory care. In fact, this facility needs to close their memory care unit. This memory care unit is NOT THE PLACE TO PLACE YOUR LOVED ONE.
