The Center for Independence, now the Arc Suncoast, provides services and supports for adults with developmental disabilities. Life Skills Development is a day program available in both New Port Richey and Dade City and provides training in life skills, socialization, computer skills, exercise and nutrition, art and music therapy, and very importantly, community activities. We also operate three small assisted living facilities (no beds available at this time). We provide Employment Services, getting referrals from Vocational Rehabilitation, using a job coach to help find placements and ensure a good job match. We also provide transportation and have a service called New Freedom Transportation which provides door to door transportation for anyone in West Pasco with a disability or elderly so they are able to get to doctor appointments, work or shopping, etc.
